TWILA: May 21, 2021
Veggies, crawfish tails, and gators... we’ve got a delicious show lined up for you this week! TWILA’s Neil Melancon takes us to Vermilion Parish to an alligator farm, to show us the impact the pandemic had on Louisiana alligator farmers. TWILA’s Karl Wiggers takes us to Holden to introduce us to produce farmers, The Farmer’s Darlin. If you pick up any banana bell peppers from there, our friends at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum will show you how you can pickle them! TWILA’s Jennifer Finely has crawfish on her mind, as she takes us to Church Point to see Dave’s Crawdads operation. She brings crawfish tails back to Baton Rouge celebrity chef, Jay Ducote, and trust us you won’t want to miss this fantastic dish using all Louisiana local ingredients! In this week’s TWILA Boost, we remind you that no one farms alone.
