Field to Feast: Crying Eagle Beer Tails
That was a first for me! They are cocktails with a heavy pour of homemade beer on top. And you can find them at Crying Eagle Brewing company in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Still headlining their delicious brews like the easy drinking Louisiana Lager and the lush and juicy Hop Blooded IPA, Crying Eagle has rebranded to become a microbrewery which expands the bar to include liquor.
With great passion, Bill Mungai, the Brewmaster, and Amber Jay, the Bar Manager, create seasonal menus showcasing Louisiana local ingredients. Bill uses Louisiana Rice in his most popular brews. And Amber combines this beer with local Satsuma Bayou Rum and local Honey to make what is a new staple for me - Beer Tails!
Here are a few recipes for you to enjoy at home. Or drop by and visit Bill and Amber at Crying Eagle Brewing Company in Lake Charles... and please tell them I said hello!
