Here's a short episode to say thanks to you, our listener! This year has been great and we can't wait to see what 2020 holds! Happy New Year everyone.

This is our last episode for the year! Jennifer Finley joins us to talk about our final Field To Feast from Houmas House. We also reflect on different stories we covered this year, from bad weather to trade troubles, to the race for the Governor's office. We'll be taking some time to be with our families over the next few weeks. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season and we'll talk to you next year!

On this episode, the team discusses Karl's Christmas tree story, Neil's neat story about the history surrounding Louisiana Sugar Refining, and Avery's reporting on the financial and mental struggles farmers across the country are facing, even with help from the USDA relief payments. Karl also updates us on his hydroponic system that he built a couple of weeks ago on the show.

This week's episode is all about food! The team talks about their favorite items on their Thanksgiving plates as they break down the American Farm Bureau Market Basket survey. This week, Karl breaks down some of his incredible story about Matt Branch, a northeast Louisiana man who lost his leg after a terrible hunting accident, but persevered to get back on his feet. The team also discusses rice markets, the farm to school movement and Louisiana's nutria infestation.

In this week's show, we have a very special guest on to cover topics from trade with China and Japan to how farmers are preparing for duck season. We also discuss the messy sugarcane harvest in West Baton Rouge and Avery gives us a short preview of his story for next week.
