TWILA : March 24, 2023
It’s officially spring, and farmers across Louisiana are busy planting their 2023 crop. In this week’s episode, Neil Melancon explains how a new insurance program for tropical storms could help protect farmers from the impacts of tropical weather. We meet Jared Frey, a rice and crawfish farm in Acadia Parish and recent Louisiana Agriculture Hall of Distinction inductee. And Avery Davidson takes us to the crawfish ponds of Church Point for a pond-to-table edition of Feasting on Agriculture.
